Sydney's climate means you can use an outdoor space for most of the year, and a well-built one changes how your whole property works. It could be a simple deck off the back of the house, a full alfresco area with a pergola and outdoor kitchen, or anything in between.
We build outdoor entertaining areas across Sydney, from the ground up. Decks, pergolas, alfresco dining spaces, BBQ and outdoor kitchen setups, and everything that ties them together. Ben manages each project on site, coordinating the carpentry, concrete, plumbing, electrical, and gas trades that outdoor builds typically involve.

We work with three main decking materials, and each suits a different situation.
Merbau is a hardwood that looks good, weathers well, and handles Sydney conditions. It's what we used at St Ives to turn an unused patch of yard into a proper outdoor entertaining area. It needs oiling every 12 to 18 months to keep its colour.
Treated pine is the most budget-friendly option. We built the Castle Cove deck in pine with a stainless steel wire balustrade to keep the sightlines open. Pine needs regular treatment but it's a solid choice if you want to keep costs down.
Composite decking (Eva-Last and similar) costs more upfront but you'll never oil it, sand it, or replace a splintered board. We used Eva-Last Infinity Tiger Cove composite at Beverley Park Golf Club because the deck needed to handle heavy foot traffic with zero maintenance.

A pergola or alfresco structure gives you shade and weather protection without closing in the space. That could be a simple timber pergola over a deck, or a full alfresco setup with a solid roof, integrated lighting, and ceiling fans that you can use year-round regardless of the weather.
On our Leichhardt project, the existing pergola was structurally fine, so we kept the posts, extended them, and fitted new polycarbonate opal roof sheets. It let light through while blocking the heat. The homeowner saved money by keeping what was already good, and the finished result suits the home's character.
We build with polycarbonate sheets, Colorbond, and louvre roofing depending on how much light and airflow you want.

An outdoor kitchen turns a deck or alfresco area into a space you actually cook in, instead of one you only sit in. We build outdoor kitchen setups including benchtops, cabinetry, built-in BBQ surrounds, prep areas, sinks, and bar fridges. The scope can be as simple as a built-in BBQ with a stone benchtop, or as complete as a full outdoor kitchen with plumbing, gas, and electrical.
Ben coordinates the trades that outdoor kitchens need beyond standard carpentry: plumbers for sinks and gas lines, electricians for power points and lighting, and stonemasons or fabricators for benchtops. It's a build that crosses multiple trades, and having one person manage the lot keeps it on track.

If half your deck is rotten but the other half is solid, you don't need to rip the whole thing up. We can replace the damaged section and reinforce the frame.
In Frenchs Forest, we swapped out the rotten joists for new 90x45 treated pine, reinforced the subframe with brackets and G-Tape, and laid fresh 70x19 Merbau decking to match the existing boards. Practical fix, saved the homeowner a full rebuild.
Eastern Suburbs (Bondi to Malabar), Southern Sydney (Sutherland Shire & St George), Northern Sydney (Manly, Mosman, Lane Cove), and the Inner West.
